Livestock Assistant 

We are looking for reliable, enthusiastic, and competent livestock assistants who have a genuine interest in cattle to join the expanding feedlot livestock team.

Key duties and responsibilities 

  • Livestock health & welfare checks,
  • Cattle handling,
  • Loading and unloading cattle,
  • Processing and weighing cattle,
  • Treating and vaccinating cattle,
  • General cleaning and maintenance duties

All applicants should process the following attributes

  • Low-stress stock handling techniques,
  • Cattle handling skills and ability,
  • Ability to identify ill or injured livestock and treat and or act accordingly,
  • Holds a valid and current car licence,
  • Ability to work as part of a team and individually as required,
  • Willing to work flexible and extended hours as required.

Truck Driver - Livestock

We are currently on the lookout for a suitably experienced MC truck operator to join our growing fleet. 

This role requires a team player who is reliable, self-motivated, understands their NHVR compliance responsibilities and of course, enjoys driving and working outdoors. 

About the role

Long-distance cattle transport of various combinations both locally and interstate, including regular deliveries. Will suit operators willing to be away from home for regular short periods of time. Operators will be required to help loading and unloading cattle. 

About you
A successful candidate for the role must:

  • Hold a valid MC license,
  • Substantial driving experience (B-Double/Triple/Road Train), with contactable references,
  • BFM certification,
  • Have good communication skills,
  • Ability to identify potential faults and defects,
  • Responsible attitude caring for truck and trailer assets.

Feedlot Assistant - Burra SA

We are currently looking for flexible, mechanically minded team players to join our expanding feedlot division.

About the role

Main duties include feed preparation, cattle feeding duties, and pen cleaning and maintenance.

Key duties and responsibilities 

  • Operation of tractor/feed mixer wagon
  • Pen maintenance with heavy machinery 
  • Operation of Loader, handling of commodities
  • General feedlot maintenance

All applicants should process the following attributes

  • Ability to operate and service machinery
  • Able to undertake manual handling tasks
  • Follow WH&S policies & procedures
  • Ensure Animal Welfare standards are upheld
  • Basic computer skills
  • Motivated to work alone and part of a diverse team

About you

A successful candidate for the role must:

  • Heavy machinery operations experience
  • Previous experience in tractor and loader operation
  • Skidsteer/Telehandler tickets (Desirable)
  • Hold a minimum HC truck licence (Desirable)
  • Agricultural experience (Desirable)

Farm Hand

We are looking for an experienced, reliable, enthusiastic, motivated farm worker who is keen to further their career in agriculture to join our team on a full-time basis. Based in the Burra area on a broad acre farming operation.
 

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Operation and maintenance of farm plant, equipment and machinery,
  • Operation of self-propelled boom spray, header, baler, tractors, as well as other plant and equipment,
  • Carry out and assist the Cropping Manager in organising tasks and duties required,
  • Increased seasonal hours during seeding and harvest.

  • Ability to operate and service machinery,
  • Extensive experience in a broadacre cropping environment,
  • Able to undertake manual handling tasks,
  • Follow WH&S policies & procedures,
  • Basic computer skills,
